Kansas Christian Win the Second game in Extra-Innings

Kansas Christians' Drew Lippold singled in the 3rd & 4th Inning, doubled in the 6th and tripled in the 8th to lead the Falcons past the Patriots on Friday afternoon on the road.  Mission University got on the board in the bottom half of the 2nd inning on a hard hit single to left field.  Kansas Christian got their first run on the board with a Sac Fly from Abram Stewart to right field, getting Marcos Franjul to cross the plate.  Then, Jesus Reyes stole home for the 2nd run and their first lead in the game.  The third run of the inning came on error, Kris Davis scored from 3rd on the Patriots error by their shortstop.  And, to top off the inning, Lippold singled home Jacob Strobel for the 4th run of the inning, giving Kansas Christian a 4-1 lead.

Back-to-back triples by Mission University, got the game within 1-run.  Then a double followed by a single put the Patriots up 5-4.  Jose Ballista relieved for Cody Ziegelmeyer to finish out the 5th inning with a strikeout.  Ziegelmeyer gave up 1-earned run on 6-hits in 4.2 innings, striking out 2.  Kansas Christian tied the game up in the top half of the 6th with a Chris Hunter single up the middle scoring Strobel from 3rd.

Ballista nailed down the win, his 2nd win of the season, going the final three frames, giving up 1 hit and striking out 3 Patriots.  Kansas Christian tallied 11-hits in the game.  Hunter & Lippold were tought to handle back-to-back at the top of the order, as each drove in 2-runs.  Reyes collected two hits as well and a big steal of home in the top of the fourth.
