Jaime Cuellar Steps Down as Head Coach of Men's Basketball Program

Overland Park, Kansas - Jaime Cuellar has announced his resignation as the head men's basketball coach at Kansas Christian College. During his tenure, Cuellar amassed an impressive overall record of 55-26, boasting a remarkable winning percentage of 69%. His leadership and strategic prowess propelled the team to three consecutive appearances in the Regional Championship, securing victory in two out of three seasons.

In a crowning achievement, Cuellar led the men's basketball team to a historic triumph in 2023, clinching the ACCA and NCCAA National Championships. Continuing the tradition of excellence into the 2024 season, Cuellar's leadership saw the team again claim the Regional Championship title. Their journey culminated in a commendable 6th place finish in the National Tournament held in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Reflecting on his time with the Falcons men's basketball program, Jaime Cuellar expressed his gratitude, stating, "It has been an incredible honor to lead such a talented group of players and coaches over the past three years. I am immensely proud of all we have achieved together, and I am confident that the program is poised for continued success."

Cuellar will stay with the institution as Director of Athletics and Vice President for Student Affairs. A new head men's basketball coach will be announced in the near future.
