Megan Norman Named Head Coach of Women's Volleyball Program

Kansas Christian College has announced Megan Norman as the next head coach of the women's volleyball program. Norman takes over for Marion Ross, who spent two seasons as the head coach for the Falcons. Ross announced her resignation at the conclusion of the 2023 season which ended at the NCCAA Division II Central Region Semifinals last weekend. 

Megan began her journey in volleyball playing in Stockton, Mo. as a Lady Tiger in middle school and high school programs. She also played club volleyball for Club Bear in Springfield, MO before heading to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M where she played two seasons. She completed her collegiate career at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Mo. 

Norman set school records for digs and ranked as the 7th best libero in the nation in the NCAA Division II. She earned Nike-McDonald's Tournament MVP and was chosen in two seasons as most valuable player by her teammates. For the last six years, she has coached the Lighthouse Christian Chargers in Springfield. This season her team was able to earn the National Gold Ball Title in Class 8A Varsity Division. 

Kansas Christian College Athletic Director, Jaime Cuellar announced the new hire saying, "Megan brings a wealth of experience playing and coaching volleyball at a high level. Her acolades as a player and coach show why we are excited about her taking over our program." Coach Norman spoke on the opportunity to become head coach saying, "I am beyond excited to continue this volleyball journey as a Lady Falcon!"
